Will Connors

The nights out are a big thing.

I saw Will Connors in the paper this morning saying that he's got to be tactical now in terms of not going into too many pubs in Galway.

It's like just a real danger of working in this city, that there is always that temptation.

Has that been something that you guys have had to deal with at all? Billy, you're probably a bit too young.

He's going this season to play tennis.

Will Connors has joined.

Gerry Kerr, the prop, has joined from Leinster.

And Francois van Wijk from Bath, another prop.

He's got everything else.

So yeah, look, really, really impressive bit of business there.

Will Connors would be interested to see if he can make an impact there too.

He's been injury ravaged.

Very wholesome stuff.

Josh, I was thinking about, your own career both with Leinster and with Ireland before having this conversation and it's one of the great Irish rugby careers but it's also one of the most interesting Irish rugby careers like you talk about the new players who are much younger than you potentially looking to take your jersey one day But there's also the people your own age who are trying to take your jersey, like coming in in the same era as the likes of Dan Levy, Will Connors, an unbelievably competitive place.

And you did lose your jersey a time to them, like Will Connors, for example, during COVID.

And your story, for me anyway, is one of you getting it back and continually just growing and keeping the faith that you would be the starter for Leinster or the starter for Ireland.

Yeah, I mean, it's been very fortunate to play a lot of games, but it's been unbelievably competitive.

Yeah, it's, it's, it's mad.

Like it was obviously great for me to, to get that game.

I remember Will Connors playing really, really well.

Even the last week we've been in, it's weird not having him.

There's a few lads who are left as well, so even the likes of Will Connors, he's a big character, and Ciarán Frawley and stuff, so there's a good few lads that are missing from the change-up.

Leinster and Ireland captain Caelan Dorris could be unavailable until December at the earliest as he recovers from a knee injury.

So you might remember the number eight was forced off during Leinster's win over the Bulls in the URC final at Croke Park back in June.

Let's not go that far.

But Will Connors, Francois van, van Wyk, uh, coming in from Bath as well to strengthen the front row options.

And there's a couple of promising players in Jerry, uh, Keher and, uh, Thomas Connolly as well.

They're coming in from the Leinster system.
