What was that experience like being around some of those guys and picking their brain?

Yeah, it, it was really cool.

It, it was me, Deion Dawkins, Tristan Wirfs, Lane Johnson, Creed Humphrey, and a few other guys.

Uh, but you know, it, it was just super cool to get around those guys with so much experience, so much knowledge, and really we just got after it.

We trained, we pushed each other, we hung out, just really enjoyed the fellowship and, you know, getting to hear some of the things that, you know, they've gone through in their career and things that they've been able to, you know, pass on to me that might help me with my game.

It, it was super cool.

I was lucky to be a part of that.

... yeah, the playing style is just to me, like, that's what I want in an offensive lineman, someone who's not gonna take any shit from anybody.

So that, that's, you know, just some context I wanna make sure everybody understands about this.

Now, as a Marine and how we execute, um, and just kinda understanding the context, it's expeditionary warfare.

It's understanding mutually supporting fires, how a MAGTF, uh, Marine Air-Ground Task Force, is designed to work in collaboration with our, uh, you know, partners in the other branches.

And the way that this has been executed has been a- absolutely outstanding.

Uh, our ability to gather intel has improved dramatically while in action.

But I will say, I'm gonna go with Superman, only because the underwear that I wear under my game day pants since sophomore year of high school, every game, are Superman PSD underwear.

Like, I just think that football can teach you so much more for, like, the real world.

Like, you learn real-world stuff inside the locker room and the building.

Uh, I don't know, it's just like you ha- ob- obviously, y'all have, but to the listeners, you have to go through the locker room, have the hard coach, and do this stuff on a day-to-day basis to really learn and experience it, but it just prepares you for life-

"You can wear number seven."

So every last practice before, you know, you finish training camp and you're about to move into game prep, they do, you know, the announcement of seven and 18 at LSU.

And I was honestly sitting in the back just like, "This, this isn't gonna be me.

I play o-line." And he called my name and showed the, you know, seven jersey with my last name on.

And it was honestly just like a surreal feeling.

Uh, because whenever you're a young kid in Louisiana, you grow up watching LSU, all the players that, you know, you're imitating in the front yard whenever you're playing pick-up football wore number seven at LSU.

I was telling Julian earlier, outside of my bedroom at my parents' house, my, uh, my school pictures are in a LSU number seven jersey.

Is there any similarities between Drake and Daniels?

New England is where I want to play." What was the, the spark, maybe, behind that passion? And given the fact that there's a whole new coaching staff here, I don't think Drake had even played at that point, what caused you to think that way? And, uh, I guess, is that, is this the culmination of that conversation?

Yeah.

Uh, I think, you know, the biggest thing for me was I wanted to play for an organization that had history, that cared, that wants to win.

That's the thing for me.

I want to come in and I want to win.

And I want to do whatever it takes to help the team win.

And, you know, Drake is a heck of a player.
