And this was a young kid who had really never done anything like that.

It was a particularly moving story for me, and the end of it was almost teary because to see this young man achieve something that not many people are able to do.

In our effort to get wilderness medicine into as many ears and eyes as we possibly can, I've invited Titus to come on our show today.

Titus, welcome to the show.

You know, every episode of German Worm is special, and, well, this one is no exception, because Chris was recently able to sit down with a world-class expert in the topic of being bitten and stung, how to prevent this, and what to do if it happens.

That's Dr. Richard Clark, and together they were faculty members of at a wilderness medicine conference in Big Sky, Montana.

And so he got to ask Dr. Clark all kinds of questions about nightmare scenarios with being stung and bit ants, scorpions, spiders, snakes, bees, you name it.

Anything that can stick its venom into you.

Keep it at home, take it where you travel, just in case you get

stung and start to develop symptoms.

Currently, Dr. Clark and I are at a wilderness medicine conference in Big Sky, Montana, and one of the speakers just showed a graphic video of bear grills that TV personality adventurer guy.

He got a bee sting and he swelled up and he looks miserable.
