Wickersley

Yeah.

So I went to school, I went to primary school in Rotherham, and then I went to Wickersley Comp, and then I moved, um, to...

My parents moved to a school, I don't know if it's in, it's in Derbyshire I think, um, it's a bit out there, which is, um, it was a Catholic school.

So that was a really big difference for me.

I remember there was a non-uniform day, and it was for breast cancer, and I wanted to wear all pink, and I had a bright pink tutu, and my mom was like, "She's gonna get bullied".

[laughs]

She was like... [laughs] And this was when I was still at Wickersley.

Ah.

That's top goalscorer Alex Hardwick, and the playoff excitement is spreading across the city.

I was out on a run in Wickersley, and you know you have the private football schools, you know, that are going on, and there's a kid in a Sheffield FC t-shirt.

His mum stopped me, and I had a picture with him, and I'm like, what is this? It was such a crazy feeling, being there, and I was just on a run in my village.

Someone noticed me and wanted a picture, and I was like, that is incredible.

I mean, I've been told as well that one of the main reasons he's come to Rotherham is because of the location.

I've been told today that apparently he's in Wickersley.

his kids go to Rick as a school.

I don't know how true that is.

He doesn't want to move his kids.

You know, for personal reasons, he lives in Wickersley.

It's literally the most perfect club for him.

Even his kids want him to play here.
