On Friday, June 13, 1980, a young Jason Voorhees watches as his mother Pamela is beheaded by Alice Hardy, who was trying to escape Mrs. Voorhees' murder spree around Camp Crystal Lake.

28 years later, five friends, Wade, Richie, his girlfriend Amanda, Mike and his girlfriend Whitney, arrive for a camping trip at Crystal Lake where they hope to find a crop of marijuana growing in the woods.

That night, an adult Jason kills everyone except Whitney.

And so Jason sees his mom beheaded and starts killing everybody who comes to Camp Crystal Lake.

Now, the adult Jason kidnaps Whitney Miller, a girl who looks like his mother and holds her prisoner in his tunnels.

And by the way, she doesn't really look that much like his mother.

It's one of those movies that everybody just says, you get gaslit.

And people just go along with it.

You know, it's like, oh, of course you do.

One month later, Whitney's brother Clay comes to Crystal Lake and rescues her.

Eventually, Whitney uses Jason's devotion to his mother against him, stabbing him with his own machete while he thinks his mom's there.
