I'm still kind of amazed that you're like, that you're, you seem still like a little like surprised that like, oh, why people like this?

Well, because I mean, he had those mainstream 80s hits, right? Like, you know, he had Rebel Yell and he had White Wedding and he had Eyes Without a Face and, and, and, you know, he was like the blonde Elvis with a sneer.

And Devo was always more, you know, outsider, You know, we aggregated all the kind of disenfranchised people and fringe people of society, you know, and he was mainstream.

So we didn't expect a kind reception since he was based on radio play and we never were.

So here's the funny thing about Steve.

Back in the cover band days, I was the lead guitarist and singer, and we played all the time, White Wedding, Dancing With Myself.

So I knew all those licks.

And so somehow our demo or video of the band was in the, at the label.

I listened to stuff from Generation X, his band before he got superstardom.

But of course, Rebel Yell, White Wedding, Flash for Fantasy, Dancing With Myself.

Dancing With Myself, I didn't know this.

You guys probably know this already, but Dancing With Myself was like the first song that he made popular in the States.
