White Station High School

I started out Carrie Renee Kaplan in Memphis, Tennessee, and just this little Southern girl in the Memphis Jewish community, but hardly Jewish, Jew-ish.

And I was head cheerleader and homecoming queen at White Station High School and living the American life.

But in the backdrop, I was always just this little spiritual freak show.

And I was having having dreams and the dreams would actually come true.

I'm gonna go about my business." And it was Memphis, and this is back in the '80s, okay, the, the early '80s.

And I ended up going to a, a school that was called, at the time I believe it was called White Station High School, and the high school and the sort of middle school were all one giant campus.

So when I was riding the bus, I would be on the bus with kids that were 18 years old.

By the time I was, like, say 12, I was riding the bus with 18-year-olds and everybody in between.
