David Bowie was no stranger to the occult.

He even went so far as to have his swimming pool, which he believed to be possessed, exercised – not by a priest, but by a woman named Wally Elmlark, who claimed to be a white witch.

But first, it's the gruesome story of two people whose love caused their insanity to grow darker with each passing day, eventually sending them on a crusade to kill anything they deemed evil or immoral, but resulting in the murders of innocent people.

We begin there.

It was while hanging out after hours in the bohemian hotspot known as Greenwich Village that Tim cut his teeth on rock music, listening to up-and-coming artists like Jimi Hendrix and Johnny Winter, and later the likes of the New York Dolls with their glam dress and six-inch platform shoes.

But this isn't so much about Tim as it is another rogue personality – a charming young lady who was an important figure in that same time period, and who had an impact on many that has lasted to this very day, though she passed from the scene almost four decades ago.

Can a woman who calls herself a witch also be a righteous, even saintly person? Does she harness powers that are intended to lead to harmless, positive and beneficial results? If one were to look for evidence that such things are possible, then the life of white witch Wally Elmlark would be a good place to start one's search.

One of Wally's most dedicated friends was the aforementioned Timothy Green Beckley, the CEO of the publishing company Inner Light Global Communications.

yeah i i've looked at the spells before um was it yesterday or the day before and as i already had some an idea of my character concept so i have some stuff picked i don't know you can tell me if it's dumb But my idea was like, you know, she's a sorceress, but she's like in a balance of using black or what do they call it? Black magic and white magic kind of balances out.

But they both spend life points for some of the spells.

each so snake arrow is for the black magic and the talons of jill for the white magic and then iron hide for the extra hp On the regular skills.

That's what my concept is.

The antidote to black magic is not brute materialism or worldly wisdom.

The antidote to black magic is white magic.

It rather depends, said Father Brown, what you mean by white magic.

I mean silver magic, said the other in a low voice like one speaking of a secret revelation.

Then after a silence, he said, Do you know what I mean by silver magic? Excuse me a moment.

What he had seen shining through the crack was not only the most negative whiteness of daylight, but the positive whiteness of snow.

All round, the sweeping fall of the country was covered with that shining pallor that seems at once hoary and innocent.

Here is white magic anyhow, said Father Brown in his cheerful voice.

And we're only warned about the bad stuff.

But there's white magic.

No, there isn't.

I mean, from a biblical perspective, and that's a major argument that I make on this series, is there is no white magic.

There's no innocent occult practices that anytime we are delving into that, when you're seeking supernatural power outside of Yahweh, You are operating in forbidden territory.

I think the Bible makes that that very clear.

A lot of that now is how I, I get lyrics, but it's something special to me whenever I'm out somewhere else and I get a download or an inspiration, um, for lyrics or for samples.

Like, there's times where, listen, working on White Magic, where I needed a sample and, and, uh, of somebody speaking, and I needed it in my music because that's part of what I do, and there was a time where one sample on a song, I-- it took me a who- a full day of listening and digging through transcripts and, and, uh, um, lectures from a certain, a certain voice I heard, so it had to be an, an older lady.

That's just what I heard in the song, so that was there.

And the song was about, um, it's-- the song is entitled As Above, So Below, so I kinda wanted some-- a theosophist.
