Many times we tend to think that a lot of hymns are written by just ministers or Well, ministers do write a lot of the hymns that we sing, but amazingly, a number of laymen have written interesting songs and hymns also.

This time as we go through the hymn book, we're looking for songs that were written not by preachers, but by laymen.

It is made of physical matter and it exists in real space and time.

And on this thought of time, I know that those of us who sing the hymns know the hymn, When the Roll is Called Up Yonder.

The hymn begins with the words, When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more.

But that thought, that time shall be no more, that's not found in the Bible.
