What Color Is Your Parachute?

It just so happens that my father came along 50 years ago.

He's a recovering Episcopalian priest, and he wrote the world's career manual, a book called What Color Is Your Parachute? And he said, What if you could do something that motivated you in your work? It doesn't have to be perfect, but what if you did something you loved? It could be the tasks that you love, or the problems you love to solve, the skills you love to use, the people you love to work with.

What if you could do something that would really motivate you in your work? Okay, so now you've got three things, but it's kind of like a ladder, and a lot of people got to rung number two, but they probably didn't, not as many people got to rung number three.

And then what did you do when you retired? You worked in the local food bank.
