So because I'm on the North Island, it's easy to go to Mount Ruapehu, so I go to Whakapapa.

I'm actually part of a ski club, uh, on, uh, Whakapapa.

Uh, but I also go sometimes to Turoa.

I like them equal- equally, uh, both sides.

Uh, Wh- Whakapapa slightly more because that's where my club is.

Uh, but I also love going to South Island.

Mount Hutt is a beautiful ski field.

... has it mucked up a few holiday, uh, few holiday journeys by the sounds of it.

Well, it does make a trip to the mountain on the weekend, and this, this is pretty much, or this weekend coming is pretty much the last weekend really at Whakapapa from a skiing perspective.

But, um, yeah, like, if you're in Taupō, it's another hour and a half added to your return trip, so-

... season in the end up there, uh, has it? Is Turoa carrying on as, in, in further into October, or are they both just about done?

I think they're fa- I mean, I think, um, there are aspirations to continue as, you know, um, up to the Labor weekend.

Um, but s- yeah, the last update I had for Whakapapa, um, this morning was it looked like, you know, snow, [laughs] snow's retreating by the day.
