Is there a point where a pool buoy for training is a crutch? Wetsuit swims I barely kick, but training for a non-wetsuit one, just wondering if it's better to not use it or use it less.

My fastest swims ever across all distances have come when I was only swimming with the pool buoy for about 95% of all swims.
