Westwater Canyon

Dock and ramp extensions are needed just to reach the water.

New docks, one in particular at the Westwater Canyon is a ramp extension.

So again, kind of going to that low water level.

Faith Heaton-Jolly with the Division of Wildlife Resources says they've been awarded $1.5 million to update 11 different water recreation areas during 2027.

It's been awesome.

Had a little bit of carnage, of course, when we went and did the Westwater Canyon last on the Colorado River.

But, you know, rafts flip back over just as quickly as you flip them in the rapid, it turns out.

And our crew for the Grand Canyon next year is definitely getting, you know, up to speed and ready to run the big rapids down there.

is better than a week at work anyway, right? So it was a wonderful time.

All the rafts were able to keep the rubber side down, which was not the case a week before that when I was floating on the Colorado River in Westwater Canyon where we had a couple of raft flips.

but it turned out to be a great week anyway.
