Westside Cowboy

I love every single thing I've heard from them.

Out of Manchester, that is West Side Cowboy and a track called Kick Stones.

That's on the band's debut album, It Goes On.

And well, we can't go on any longer.

Yeah, they're great

And West Side Cowboy-

But I don't really like them live, Fontaines.

They don't speak to the crowd, and I feel like it-

Before that, a band that's getting a lot of hype, but I actually do agree with the hype.

The band is called Westside Cowboy.

Their debut album is called It Goes On.

As beatsperminute.com says, hailed by many as the best new guitar band in Britain, the four-piece of Jimmy Bradbury, Reuben Haycock's Ioffe, Anson O'Connell, and Patty Murphy for the Manchester 2023.

There's this band from the UK that in my opinion is even better than Geese, but kinda similar in its style.

They're called West Side Cowboy, and-

And some of the stuff on this record, I feel like, is some of the best indie rock songs I've heard this year.

No shade to everyone who loves West Side Cowboy or whatever.

But she could kill a classic alt-pop indie rock record if she wanted to.

Let's move on to Charli XCX because, first of all, this is not Charli XCX's only album that she's released this year.

I felt like I only listened to George's music when he was here.

I know I've been, like, influenced into enjoying Geese and West Side Cowboy and...

Okay, those are some others he played me and I was like, no, this is not the one.

But those two, pretty decent bands.

I want to talk about It Goes On by West Side Cowboy, which is an English band from Manchester who on previous records or previous EP singles, I was kind of worried we're doing like alt country, which is hard when you're from England to me.

But I think this record is actually really good and I think it goes much more down the middle indie rock in an interesting way versus...

There are songs...

I was front row and center for all of those.

And we opened up with brand new music from the UK band West Side Cowboy, one of my favorite bands of recent memory.

You heard the track Pin Up Boys taken from the Manchester band's debut album, It Goes On.

On the way, a very different sounding track from the New Orleans duo Twisted Teens, but first, this is brand new from the drums, a single called It Didn't Matter.

It, it picks up a bit, it wakes up a bit, you know, throughout, but the guy has a really beautiful voice.

Oh, you know who we didn't talk about, but maybe 'cause I've talked about them so much, is West Side Cowboy.

Oh, yeah.

Yeah.

I, I would 'cause it's, I think in, in terms of what we've been talking about of, like, the Americana through line that's running through a lot of British bands right now-

But this is, like, Americana, like, lowercase A americana in that, like, it's, like, American.
