Western Seminary

Well, I'm still more than full-time at Western.

That's my primary job is Western Seminary here in Portland.

And then I'm adjuncting for Ascent Seminary and I'm also adjuncting for Crew in their IBS stuff.

And then I do short gigs in places like Mongolia or Philippines or Uganda or whatever.

Yeah, my full-time job's here at Western Seminary here in Portland.

Well, I'm grateful for you.

I like Spurgeon.

I mean, I teach at the Western Seminary and Fort Richard Spurgeon Library.

And sometimes though I read Spurgeon, I'm like, oh, I scratched my head a little bit.

He's seen way more there than I think the biblical author saw.

In my mailbox, in college in France, there was a plane ticket sent to me by Dave Vellinger.

to go visit Calvin Seminary and Western Seminary.

And basically he's made arrangements for me to talk to the registrar.

And so I ended up making that trip in March of that year.

And this is a classic of American geography and history, that it's called Western Seminary, but it's actually in Michigan, uh, where if you did a dividing line down the middle of America, that would actually be in the eastern half of America.

Sure.

Did you go to seminary?

Yes, we went to Western Seminary, Conservative Baptist in those days in Portland.

Rod Barker was officially still the professor there, but he was actually in Phoenix at the time.

But I did take video courses from him.

But John Mitchell, I mean, he was very excellent.

He was, you know, uh, a grace guy, a strong on dispensations.

And he was at, um, not at Western seminary, but the, you know, the other one there that's actually Multnomah school of the Bible.

So he was at a Bible college.

through his word.

So how are we pursuing Christ through a diet, a healthy diet of this book? As you know, you might know, I'm currently working on a master's degree through Western Seminary.

My prof is Gary Brashears.

You might recall he was here in November, taught a spiritual warfare seminar, and then preached the next morning on the Sunday.
