West Virginia University Institute of Technology

I worked as a private contractor teaching Army ROTC.

I was at, um, West Virginia State, University of Charleston, West Virginia Tech.

I did one year at, um, [clears throat] West Virginia University in Morgantown, and I did a year out at, um, Eastern Illinois University.

Now, law enforcement, I joined law enforcement for, in March of 2009.

And, um, to have that much money.

And so that's why I think it's so important for, uh, WVU Tech, for us to get down in these coal fields and give back to the people that built this state.

Um, and that's why we're doing some of the work we're doing.

I think that's great.

I've been carried around on the shoulders of giants.

I've been put down in some places and spaces, um, from the block to the boardroom, you know? And, and what, what winds up happening is, it's like, how do you help other people get that? I've always talked about this concept of a Southern 13.

I believe WVU Tech, it is our role and responsibility to build, uh, southern West Virginia up in a way that is a semblance of what it was.

And so I've been talking about that since my arrival at Tech, but I had more vision than I had actual resources.

Right.

Um, yeah, I was gonna miss to say, yeah, West Virginia Tech.

Yeah.

And then they-

I mean, which she's done a lot, you know, in this community as well.

Yeah.

Um, and also President Steward from, uh, West Virginia Tech- Yeah ... came up as well.

Yes.
