West Lancashire

Fifth.

61 turned out in East Lancashire for that one, but it's the West Lancs team that made the happier journey back across the county with their passage through to the third round safely confirmed.

Moving on to the Premier Division.

Yes.

What about yourself? Where do I find you today, frankly?

Well, I'm in a place called Dalton, which is in West Lancashire.

Geographically, if anybody knows Parbold, it's round about that area, sort of in between Wigan and Southport, semi-rural.

It's raining today most of the day, but the sunshine's come out for a change.

And I'm looking at Skelmersdale now, so it's sort of just west of Wigan, isn't it? So Wigan's in Greater Manchester, I think, and Skelmersdale, obviously, in Merseyside, right? So technically, you're more associated to Manchester then than Liverpool by county, right?

No, no, not really.

So we're West Lancashire.

We border on Greater Manchester and Merseyside.

And, oh, what's it about? And I told the classic story.

And they, as I say, my colleague, who I call Bill, that's the pseudonym that I've used throughout, told me that he'd been driving across Halsall Moss, which is flat land between Southport and Ormskirk, which is in West Lancashire.

And he's a big guy, and he was in the Mini.

I mean, you always have to divide small people in big cars and big people in small cars, as the case may be.

Oh, yeah.

I was at fi- final qual, uh, West Lancs, John Furey Open.

And Wes Bryan was there and genuinely, so I've been a fan of the Bryan bros probably since about 2015.

Before I enjoyed golf, I enjoyed this.
