West Florida Argonauts

Hey, Coach, how about this one? This one's gonna be fun.

Austin Peay and West Florida.

The Govs travel to Pensacola, Florida, it's gonna be hot down there, no doubt about it, to play, uh, the Flu- West Florida Argonauts at Penair Field.

Austin Peay coming off that 63-7 win over Moorhead State while West Florida hits the field and, oh.

Oop, let's see.

Where am I? Uh, they are, they are, what are they? They, yeah.

And Chris Parsons obviously the, the quarterback there for Austin Peay who we've had a good time, uh, and fun time watching.

Defensive lineman Demoris Jenkins leads that defensive line.

The defense was fantastic.

Red Hawks are forcing turnovers, and now they'll get ready for West Florida, who comes in here on Saturday.

Yeah, it's obviously going to be a tough opponent against West Florida.

They look pretty strong.

But, yeah, I mean, that was a good game for the Red Hawks.

So, yeah, it's a good win.

Good win for the Red Hawks.

So, West Florida, who had a bye week last week.

But tell us a little bit about your football journey and how you found your way to the world of indoor football.

So I went to a small D2, now Division I in the U.S. West Florida.

I graduated from high school in 2015.

I played football at the University of West Florida from 2015 to 2019.

Throughout my college career, I played in two national championships and ended up winning the big one my senior year in 2019.

And after 2019, I, well, first off, let me go back a little bit.

Shout out to West Florida.

NCAA historians, one of the fastest teams in college football to win a national championship.

We lost in the quarter.

West Florida was number one in the country then.

So I think the top three was West Florida, Hawaii Pacific, BYU Hawaii.

But then you still had the Berry and Armstrong, and those schools were all very good back then still too.

Yeah, talk to me about the – I mean, maybe it's not the level, but, again, you were top junior as well.
