Uh, I agree with Wes Phillips' analysis, who said, "I, I hope that Micah gets, uh, well soon, but also thank God we're not playing him."

I think he said, "I'm, I'm glad that we're not playing against Micah Parsons." It's just a very different football game from when you have this freak monster who can line up anywhere, requires two people.

Uh, that's the big move in the middle of that defense.

You are missing your top pass rusher.

Wes Phillips also said today that, yeah, this defense is obviously so much different when he's not in there.

He also had an in- interesting aside about Kyler Murray in saying that, talking about how he's a student of the game, loves, uh, the draft and loves watching the games.

I think they could be the one that Kyler Murray comes in and just have that little bit of a gump shake and a bullshit ache and a I don't care, everybody's wrote me off.

Kevin O'Connell and Wes Phillips are going to be like right we'll prove and we were a laughing stock we're QB etc and all that but I can see them being pretty good and I had this conversation with one of the guys Chris that does the Scottish Riving stuff with me and I was like they still have Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison and they're and we were having a conversation about the best tandem wide receivers in the league and that and folk mentioned other people and Chris had said other people and like the usual ones and I was like JJ and Jordan Addison are still a bloody good couple of wide receivers do you know what I mean and when you throw in they got what is it Juwan Jennings as well I was like they could put points up and then when you've got Flores defence that plays hard and runs and just fires it I was like they could be a fun team to watch this year

What about the run game? It's the one part I kind of earmarked and went, I don't love it.

What I would love to see if they do go on some kind of run, you know, just looking at it.

And...

So those are, I think, two things that Aaron Jones really has Kevin O'Connell and Wes Phillips' trust is catching the ball and pass blocking.

And I don't think Jordan Mason has that same trust.

And that's why, again, in the season opener, if you're thinking that Jordan Mason is going to be a guy carrying the ball 25 times a game, I don't think he's going to be in the game that much to get that amount of carries.

Like, O'Connell takes heat because he's, one, the quarterback guy, and two, the head coach.

But if you think about it, you've got now Kevin O'Connell, Wes Phillips officially still holds the OC title, Frank Smith, assistant head coach in charge of the run, Josh McCown, an assistant QB coach.

So it's very difficult.

Like, i- if the hot take is Josh McCown's terrible at his job because Bryce Young didn't develop and now J.J. McCarthy ha- has not, you would need to present the evidence-

Him and Miles Price, to me, are very interesting weapons in this receiver room, and I think both of them offer a lot of explosiveness and shiftiness.

which I think KLC, Frank Smith, Wes Phillips are all going to find ways to implement those guys and get them gadget-type plays or slot looks because I do think this wide receiver room has a lot more depth than we thought going into training camp.

And I thought Dante Fleming and Deshaun Jones definitely were battling it out for that sixth spot there.
