Werner Film Productions

One of the things that we really need to mention is that this is a series produced by Joanna Werner.

Now, Joanna Werner is one of these TV producers that I just don't think it's the attention or just respect that she deserves because she, through her company, Werner Film Productions, have put out so many just stonking great series over the last 10, 15 years at this point.

So the thing that I know her from originally was Dance Academy.

Oh, from the Dance Academy.

I won't give away anything more of the plot because there are a lot of spoilers involved.

But I will tell you that Last Seen is made by the British company Sixty Forty Films, who are behind Apple TV's big hit Slow Horses, in collaboration with a local company, Werner Productions, who made The News Reader.

Its creator is Australian screenwriter Kris Mrksa, and the director is a German who's previously worked on The Crown.

His name is Christian Schwochow.
