Wendell Ford

Of course.

And we've got Wendell Ford here, too.

And that's right beside pretty much Ensign Bickford.

Wendell's a cool name.

The Republican Party met the voter and persuaded them that we are representing your interests much, much better than the Democrats are.

Wendell Ford, it is said, got away with being a liberal voter in Washington because you couldn't monitor the votes like you can now.

And there's probably a lot of truth in that.

The Internet, the free flow of information enabled by the Internet and by the growth in, let's say, Fox News, for instance, and Fox News Radio, or just what we would call middle-of-the-road programs, media services.

They tell the story on how people are voting in Washington, the positions they're taking.

And I think Kentuckians realized, wait a minute, I think more like Hal Rogers or Mitch McConnell.

I think more like Jim Bunny or Rand Paul than I do Kentucky like Wendell Ford, for instance, or Dee Huddleston.

And that really has been the beginning of Republicanism here in the state.
