Wellington Brewery

So the cask ale situation in Ontario, which is the province I'm in, in Canada, dates back to our earliest craft breweries in the '80s.

And the two first craft breweries out the gate w- not surprisingly, one focused on lagers, on, uh, German style lagers, and the other one decided to focus, Wellington Brewery decided to focus on English style ales, and they made the bold decision to start only with cask.

And so they bought a bunch of cask engines from the UK, had them shipped over on a boat.

And so one of the earliest craft beer experiences that someone would have had in my neck of the woods was cask conditioned ale, and they were everywhere.
