So this all stems from an ethics complaint.

So tell us more about that.

So the ethics complaint draws on an ongoing lawsuit against the town by a developer, Kevin Sexton, who alleged that Wellfleet's Planning Board Chair, Jerry Parent, personally offered him deals on two subdivisions that were at the same time under review by the planning board, including one that's next to parents' home.

Now, the planning board chair is also a developer, and Sexton said that he would have drawn a financial windfall from the deals and hadn't recused himself from chairing discussion on one of those site plans.
