The children of those factory workers, as well as a substantial number of the white-collar kids as well, were very much into Metallica, Van Halen, Poison, Rat, Bon Jovi, and now Guns N' Roses, school of rock and roll all night, party every day.

All of a sudden, it seemed you couldn't go anywhere in Brockville without hearing Welcome to the Jungle, Sweet Child of Mine, or Paradise City blasting from the open windows of Camaros and Trans Ams.

Our local video arcade was a heavy metal hangout, hard rock music blurring from the jukebox and furnishing a soundtrack to go along with all those bleeps and bloops.

But there was a flip side to Guns N' Roses.

So can you talk just about what that was like? I imagine when you did Welcome to the Jungle, no one really knew who they were yet, except maybe outside of Geffen.

And then it seems like there's such a shift between the Guns N' Roses that's in Welcome to the Jungle and the Guns N' Roses that's in Sweet Child of Mine.

And nobody's listening to me.

And about two minutes into my comedy set, the opening notes of Welcome to the Jungle start playing through the speakers.

And I'm like, what? I think my first joke, I said a joke, and someone in the back of the room said, you suck.

There we go.

And I said in response, and I wish this was recorded, I said, at a charity? I suck at a charity? What is this, a make a wish? Yeah, like what? And then they started playing Welcome to the Jungle, and I was like, and my mic was off.

the rough night yeah oh my god there's uh there's obviously there's partying you know there's drinking having fun and stuff but when you're on the tour with dubrow janie lane steven adler and joel estate you see addiction on that tour right you see a level of partying that you're like and does any part of you think i shouldn't be here i need to go home or is it like

Fallen Angel, top three poison song for me.

Fallen Angel is pretty much the poison version of Welcome to the Jungle.

You know what I like about Poison? All four members get equal songwriting credit on all their original songs.
