Weet-Bix

It's been in New Zealand since 1935.

It's actually manufactured in Australia, but it's up there with sort of Weet-Bix, I guess, and some of the other great products of our pantries over time.

But anyway, Milo has taken exception to this Chinese company, that wants to come in and produce a whole lot of different products, dozens of products actually, including nutritional supplements.

And that's where Milo has said, hey, this is crossing into our territory too much because the name of that product is by Milo.

There's lots of information, but then giving people some pragmatic insight tips you know and and i like what you've said there in terms of equipping people to find some of those strategies for themselves and and to figure it out before we get to some of that stuff you know i am curious to unpack some of the the data surrounding you know this 80 percent of workers feeling checked out what what insults can you share with us there

well i think part of it is just accepting the reality that life is busy i mean i think it's not just in our workplaces which are now constantly changing there's challenge you know within a global economy now it used to be that we we could work in our own little space or even in our own country or state and that now is no longer the case we're in such a bigger global marketplace and environment now and even competitors that we once thought were just the shop down the street or the product next you know in the next suburb it's now we've got global um supply chain where people can do things a lot cheaper so we we really do get caught in in a lot of difficulty that we have to navigate in terms of our normal day-to-day and when you add our personal life in there where it might be You know, getting the kids out the door with the, you know, dressed hairbrushed Weet-Bix off their cheeks and to the school gate on time, let alone, you might be looking after an elderly parent or trying to stay fit and healthy yourself or build a relationship that's got some quality time in there somewhere.

I mean, there's just a lot for us to fill in and pack in.

And so I think we feel that we're just on this constant cycle of doing.

And I don't want to sit here and say, oh, you have to get up at 5am and go for a run every day.

And you have to eat Weet-Bix for breakfast or something like that.

Because it looks different for everyone.

But I I keep going back to the routines you set yourself and the consistency you build for yourself sets up that framework to give you the best chance of success.

Yeah

... especially if they've gone hard on the Weet-Bix.

Um, okay, great.

Um, all right, any strategies or suggestions of how to protect sleep when introducing a new baby?

This one he thinks is pretty good.

It's Weet-Bix gnocchi.

So it's taking classic Aussie Weet-Bix, but making a pasta sauce with them, or a pasta with a gnocchi.

I like when Jim Rice says gnocchi.

Go and say gnocchi.

Uh, gnocchi.

You, you hope he's gonna say gnocchi, weren't you? So we start with seven Weet-Bix.

There's a couple of steps in this process.

When we last left Mama Nana, Amanda behind, in honour, she's making the old time gnocchi.

I'm making Weet-Bix gnocchi.

And the whole time those songs have been playing, you've been upsetting everyone on the team because you've been using too much flour and interfering.

This is not

haven't interfered with anyone on the team.

Okay, what's happening now? We've got seven Weet-Bix, we've got boiled water, two eggs and a cup of flour.

So we now have our pasta, Weet-Bix pasta.

So yeah, he's, he forgets that, but yeah, it, it plays a large part.

[laughs] I thought you're gonna say he comes home and has 20 Weet-Bix, uh, in true Aussie kid fashion.

Aussie kids are Weet-Bix kids.

And do you know what daycare always have? They always have yogurt.

They always have Weet-Bix.

They always have, you know, and often a lot of daycares will do sort of a breakfast, you know, for those kids that are coming a little bit earlier.
