Weekly Young Magazine

Anyway, let's get back to our topics.

our next set of topics here, we're going to talk about young magazine and how young magazine USA is getting a second special issue.

And I think that's kind of cool.

You know, it's really awesome when Japanese magazines do like an American counterpart, like new type USA as example, you know? Hmm.

So it seems that this year's 45th issue of Kodansha's Young Magazine revealed that it is launching a second issue of Young Magazine USA.

It's a special magazine for us.

So the staff is, again, looking for Japanese manga creators who want their stories published for overseas readers, which is cool.

Christ.

Interestingly, did you, did you know that this comic is in...

It was published in Weekly Young Magazine, which is, you know, like a manga magazine, uh, in Japan that has like, that is not known for this stuff.

And like [laughs] I, I was looking at the other stuff published here, and it's just a bunch of like real sleazy, like...

Here, just a second.

Akira is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Katsuhiro Otomo.

It was serialized bi-weekly in Kodansha's Seinen magazine, Young Magazine, from December 20th, 1982 to June 25th, 1990, with its 120 chapters collected into six volumes.

It was initially published in the United States by Marvel Comics under its Epic imprint, becoming one of the first manga works to be translated in its entirety into English.

It is currently published by Kodansha's USA in North America.

It is a guide in off of Ghost in the Shell that just launched this week on Yanmaga Web.

So like the web or app division of Young Magazine from Kodansha.

The original magazine where Ghost in the Shell was published.

And so this is a new manga being written by Shiro Masamune.
