So I'm traditionally based in Narracourt, but with MacKillop extending up to the Keith border town and down to Millicent, you do a wider network of growers that farm in the southeast.

One of the projects that the Operations Committee identified last year was a herbicide performance and weed control trial that was done at Francis? Minimay.

So would you like to tell us about why the Operations Committee identified that as a priority area?

These things happen when you're working in a grower's paddock and it's all part of the research.

As a result, we only had two replicates available for yield analysis, which meant we couldn't statistically analyse these results.

But even so, the trial still provided some valuable insights into the weed control and economics.

So what did you learn about the herbicide management for canola?

But we wanted to, to discuss how procrastination within the year and across years can cost you a lot of opportunity, but also a lot of money.

And so we're just gonna discuss a few of those topics in, in pretty good detail and sort of make a case for why we care so much about fire timing, about food plot weed control, about deer population management, and so on.

So hang on tight and we're gonna get to discussing stuff, and there'll be a lot to, a lot to talk about.

I'll tell you the thing that, you know, with, with what we're doing now and we're looking at data, data reports, property visits, et cetera, is I think the lack of realization of how big of a change you have to have on your property to see a meaningful change in the very metrics we're collecting, like body weight and Boone and Crockett score and frequency of really good bucks or trophies or whatever.

The one thing you should not put off until next year when it comes to managing your pastures is weed control this fall.
