WebM

neato burrito this one was pretty neat i saw this on blue sky by via user nat suneco dot cat uh which makes sense given their name what if you wanted to make awesome videos and have it be as simple as writing react well now you can with celesta a react like language for building videos So you can build cool visualizations.

It's a code-first video tool, build animated scenes with React and TypeScript, combining video images and text shapes, audio, preview your work in the Celeste desktop app, export it as MP4, MOV, WebM, PNG, JPEG, WebP, yada, yada, yada.

So if you want to do like the, I forget what the three blue, one brown framework is, but it feels like that kind of idea where you want to use code first to generate neat videos.

And their example here was built by Claude Opus.

i i need magic i was gonna say uh I didn't know that.

Have you used WebM before the video format?

That's like WebP, but WebM or what? Yeah, WebM.

Oh, yeah.

It's actually...

In my brain, I'm like, MP4, that's fine.

Let's ship it.

WebM is like... almost 10 X smaller.
