In Waynesboro, Virginia, terror gripped Westwood Hills Elementary School on Wednesday morning when a 19-year-old gunman breached the building and opened fire.

According to Waynesboro Police Chief David Shaw during a press conference, 19-year-old Anthony Ignatius Isabel entered the school and shot an adult staff member before turning the gun

on himself.

Police later located Ignacia Dis Isabel dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound inside the elementary school library.

Fortunately, no children were in the library at the time of the shooting, and the injured staff member was treated at a local hospital and subsequently released.

Authorities confirmed Ignatius Isabel had no known former enrollment in the district and the motive remains under active investigation.

Waynesboro Public Schools Superintendent Jeffrey Cassell commended the rapid emergency response and lockdown protocols, addressing reporters during the official briefing.

Um, police say a 19-year-old gunman forced his way into West H- uh, Westwood Hills Elementary School.

It's in Waynesboro.

That's about 100 miles northwest to Richmond, Virginia.
