Now, like, when I hear the word Camille, like, I get goosebumps because I know about Hurricane Camille.

So if you didn't, about 57 years ago on this date, August 18th, Camille made landfall near Waveland, Mississippi as one of only four category five hurricanes on record to hit the mainland of the US.

It so, was so violent it destroyed every anemometer instrument in the area, and it was, like, post-analysis that found that this thing had wind speeds of, like, 175 miles per hour, and the pressure dropped to about 900 millibars, which is the second lowest-

And, um, we were able to go down and spend a month, uh, working for the, um, Mississippi United Methodist Church and in Bay St. Louis and in Waveland, and it was, um, quite an, uh, uh, quite an experience.
