You just have to be super careful.

So even in Geneva, if you're going to go to Watch & Wonders, you're coming to Geneva Watch Days, at nighttime you have to be careful, so you gotta have your wits about you.

Anyway, covered that.

Time to talk about other stuff that's been happening.

I think Frederique Constant's having a great year.

To be honest with you, I, I just did a hands-on on the world timer that they released at Watches and Wonders, which is one of my favorites from the show.

Uh, a beautiful world timer made in-house and l- coming in about $8,000.

And, you know, following that up with, uh, I think a very strong Geneva watches.

And in getting it all on the wrist, I was, I was a big fan and I think I'm not surprised, um, to hear that sales are up because I think at that price point, under 10K US, I think it's really strong.

And if you want a world timer, a moon phase, I mean, where else are you looking? I, you know, for me, um, at, at the seven, eight K.

So, um, it was, it was great to see them follow up, I thought, a great release at Watches and Wonders with, uh, with the two greats here at, uh, Geneva Watches.

Absolutely.

Annoyingly still doesn't quite fit my wrist.

That said, though, we did also get to see the smaller ones that, of course, were launched back at the start of the year at Watches and Wonders, which annoyingly does fit my wrist.

And there was the Dazzle.

The watch that, I mean, it's frankly a terrible joke, but yeah.

That's the one.

And in my opinion, it's kind of the one that I would choose, frankly.

Anyway, back at the start of the year, Watches and Wonders, we saw, well, a bracelet and a clasp.

The cool clasp, the cool bracelet, but didn't set the world on fire.

That's really what I kind of see in that environment.

I see that at Watches and Wonders.

I see that at the Geneva Watch Days.

I see it in many places where a lot of people get together with the same hobby in mind.

I'll start with the fact that it's really rare that you'll have someone from my world of entertainment with the understanding of human emotion, with the understanding of theatrics, with the understanding of building a world that decides, hey, I'm going to go play in the car and watch world.

That normally doesn't happen.

You have watch guys that are building and one watch guy comes up with Watches and Wonders or Dubai Watch Week or the same thing on the car side.

But they rarely happen from a place of...

That's now moved to Geneva.

It's called Watches and Wonder.

I go every year.

And do you think part of why you're so in love with watches is because of your stepfather?

I mean, that's pretty cool.

So I remember at Watches and Wonders 2024, that's the first one we went to, and I'd heard of your brand, but I wasn't too familiar with it.

But at your booth, you had the entrance and then you had a little display as well on the outside.

And it had the one with the different stones from different planets.

And it has been the first really where we use a metal bracelet.

That's, for us, it's a totally new thing.

And to be quite open, the first time we presented it at the Watches and Wonders, we presented the watch, we presented the bracelet, but after Watches and Wonders, we basically threw the bracelet away.

It wasn't up to standard.

... anyways, I think it went semi viral, at least in a small corner of the Instagram world, and it was using a clip that you did in Watches and Wonders talking about-

Mm-hmm

... how Chanel spent five years to get the color blue right.

Watch is out in two years." And I, I mean, I like the J12, so, and I like the color of the blue.

It's great, yeah.

There's a common thing, I see this every year at Watches and Wonders or in any press release meeting, brand comes out, says, "Here's our new complication.

Here's our new whatever." Someone invariably raises their hand and asks, "Wow, how long did it take to develop this?" And it's like a meaningless question with a meaningless answer, right? So I, you know, uh-

They don't officially exhibit anything at Geneva Watch Days.

They don't exhibit at Watches & Wonders.

They left the big players alone, the big shows alone maybe six years ago, round about the year before the pandemic.

Swatch Group, Omega, all those guys, they left Baselworld.
