Washington D.C. Temple

That's the thing that's cool is, like, I grew up Catholic.

I was born and raised in Washington, DC.

My dad was Catholic.

My mom was Mormon.

... that are, uh, I can't describe.

Like, one of them I remember vividly.

When I was really young, I mean, this is when my parents were still together, like, I was, uh, i- in, like, middle school, and I remember the Mormon missionaries coming over one day a- and I remember telling them, I'm like, "That, the big building, the, the Washington, DC temple." I said, "Well, I've been in there." And they're like, "Well..." My mom and dad both kinda look at me, and they smile, and they're like, "No, you, you know, son, you haven't been in there," 'cause I'd never been in it.

I'm like, "No, I've, I've been in there." And I explained it to them, and it was crazy 'cause the missionaries my mom had been in and the missionaries had been in, and they were kinda looking at each other 'cause I was literally describing the inside.

I heard that I was the impetus of that, that somehow I was, um, at a church service with a family friend and came home from that church service and said to my parents that we needed to find a church.

And so the Washington, DC temple was, was going up at that time, and my grandmother, who was kind of, um, I don't know, a little bit plugged into the DC area, got tickets.

My parents went and filled out the little form in the temple that said, "Would you like to know more?" when they watched a video, and two missionaries appeared at their door.

So they joined the church in the Potomac ward.
