I mean, this is the production.

The production of this is exactly the production that everybody complains about in Warriors of the Deep.

Yes, this is one of the things I, because I'm not as keen on it as most people.

Xiao Yang is played by Ling Tai, only credited Doctor Who role for Ling.

However, she has uncredited roles in The Leisure Hive and in Warriors of the Deep.

Non-who credits include Spats, Carnation Street and Wilt.

Doris.

So, based on our scores, we have a story average of 3.63, which is actually worse than the Twin Dilemma.

It is, however, better than the previous season opener, Warriors of the Deep, which we gave a 3.25 to.

So, yay.

Slight incremental improvement on the previous season opener, I guess.

I think that's quite pretentious, um, but I-

I mean, there's two parts.

It's like, mind you, I do, I even like Warriors of the Deep more than this.

Uh, yeah, so do I.

So do I. I mean, Warriors of the Deep, it sucks in so many ways, but it is sort of entertainingly bad.

Yeah.

It's like, yeah, it's like I, I can apprec- I can appreciate it a bit, but it's like, it's like this is, it's just like I know they've gone on record to cast like shit on Warriors of the Deep, so it's like they can just go back and shit on this instead.

Yeah, no, I seem to remember they actually were quite kind in the Behind the Sofa on this one.

It's because it's got some prestige actors in it, Isla Blair, people like that, Gerald Flood, you know?

And so we start with best and worst stories.

And the options here are Warriors of the Deep, The Awakening, Frontios, Resurrection of the Daleks, Planet of Fire, The Caves of Androzani, and The Twin Dilemma.

I did, though, enjoy Planet of Fire as well.

In War Story, I was waffling between Warriors of the Deep and The Awakening.

I didn't really particularly care for either of them.

We had Downtime released on VHS from Realtime Pictures.

Also on VHS, we had The Sea Devils and Warriors of the Deep.

What a double bill.

The new adventure was Toy Soldiers featuring the Seventh Doctor, Benny, Roz and Chris.

And the missing adventure was Managra with the Fourth Doctor and Sarah.

While the comic strips were The Cybermen, The Dark Flame and Operation Proteus featuring the First Doctor and Susan.

I don't remember them releasing the Sea Devils and Warriors of the Deep together, but

I suppose it makes sense.
