Warrensville Heights

Today, we're going to spend the show talking with education experts about what's being called a generation-long decline.

What's causing it, and what do experts say could reverse this trend? And for districts that haven't seen decline, what's been working? Joining me in studio today, we have Superintendent Donald Jolly, who has led the Warrensville Heights School District since 2015.

Superintendent Jolley, thanks for being here.

Thank you for having me.

Solon has about a 50% white student body with less than 20% of their students being considered economically disadvantaged.

So let's talk about what we're seeing here in some of those districts here in Northeast Ohio.

Superintendent Jolley, you've said you've seen the student test scores decline in Warrensville Heights over the past decade, despite also making progress as a district over the years.

Can you tell us a bit about that?

Bay beats Valley Forge 25 to 13, and Maple Heights blanks Bedford 40 to nothing.

Garfield Heights gets a 44 to 19 win over Warrensville Heights, and Boardman 48, St. V, the home of LeBron James, 21.

Talk about Willoughby South, the Rebels.

They have a 28 to nothing lead right now-

Now this could happen anywhere between roughly New Orleans and Panama City Beach, FL.

Warrensville Heights is alerting neighbors about a new Amazon Prime Air drone deliveries.

Eligible packages can now be dropped off by drone, so you may see them flying over homes and businesses.

City leaders say police and fire are aware of the operations which are regulated by the FAA.

So if you see a drone crash, damage or even hurt someone.

Call Warrensville Heights police.

Breaking at this hour, police in Newton, PA say four middle school students were injured after a school bus crashed and overturned.

An SUV hit the bus and it rolled onto its side.
