Warner Brothers were having the merger with Paramount and it was all going on to the side.

Then there was talk that they didn't want to do anything to do with Batman the Brave and the Bold until that merger was settled.

Because they were going to join Netflix as well at one point.

But then a few years later, after Deliverance was a huge hit, he was offered to make the sequel.

And the sequel was going to be the biggest budget in Warner Brothers history.

It was a very... crazy take on a sequel because it wasn't anything like the original.

It was about, you know, Reagan McNeil, the possessed girl from the original, is kind of shown to be a... a person that can help lead the human race into the next level of spiritual consciousness uh and that's why she was targeted for possession the first movie by you know demons right uh and it's and richard burton plays this priest who's investigating and goes into synchronized hypnosis which is basically them sitting and looking at a flashing bulb but then they can read each other's thoughts and Right.

And basically demand theaters to put up deposits to show that movie in like a year or whenever it would be finished, the non-refundable deposits in order to show the movie.

So...

Then theaters would hand over the money to Warner brothers on the other studios.

Warner brothers would take that money and make the movie with it.
