Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3

Nintendo hired a man.

Wario Land game.

Nope.

You both said nope, and it was not there.

Okay, sure.

So Super Mario Land 3 was on the Game Boy, and it was...

I think the subtitle was Wario Land.

And Wario plays a lot differently than Mario.

... uh, advancements in technology.

So one of the more notable people behind the game is Yoshio Sakamoto, who worked on Donkey Kong and Metroid and Kid Icarus and Wario Land and WarioWare and all that.

And this game was managed by Gunpei Yokoi, by a staff of 15 people working on it.

And this was notable because it was almost a decade after the original Metroid was released, so that's a long time for a sequel.

Legit, like, there were rumors, but half of them were in the direct.

The only one that wasn't, and this one got a lot of press, is people were chatting about a leak from one creator, uh, I can't believe I'm now, Mal0392, who said that we're gonna get a new Smash Bros, a new Metroid, a new 3D Mario, a new Star Fox, and a new Wario Land.

Oh, and Nintendogs.

Uh, none of that happened.

It could be a race.

You know, there's the rumors about Wario Land.

Right.

There's that one just makes so

mean, if we get Metroid Ravenous...

If we get Nintendogs and we get Wario Land and or Luigi's Mansion 4, like those two, like, I think that's, to me, that's like, ooh, that's a strong direct.

And then you remind everybody about Duskbloods and Pokemon and all this stuff.

That was on the list that I had for potential announcements as well.

The last thing, which I think would be pretty cool and interesting, Wario Land and Super Metroid getting pixel art remakes.

Interesting.

Wario Land in particular is an odd choice there.

Not in terms of like, like Wario Land is a good game, like don't get me wrong.

Uh, but more in just the sense that like, you know, Nintendo, I feel like they're just now starting to do remakes like more as a thing.

Like, I feel like they've done ports for a long time.

A leaker called Mallow932 claims Nintendo is developing a new Super Smash Bros. rather than an updated version of Ultimate, plus a revival of Nintendogs.

The same leak points to Mario Kart downloadable content featuring Fox McCloud next year, along with new Star Fox Adventures, Wario Land, and 2D Metroid games.

Another established Nintendo leaker, Nate the Hate, reportedly backed part of the story, but Nintendo hasn't confirmed any of it.

The U.S. government is warning that a U.K. proposal to make social platforms and video services give greater prominence to trustworthy news could amount to censorship.
