And the reason why the elves were fighting with Azerite is because he had promised to drive the humans out of the elven lands, which had been constantly been encroached upon by the humans who had cut down their trees and colonized their lands and took their realms for their own.

By the time we get to the current era of Birthright, there are several elf realms, but they are all small pieces of what would have been massive forests.

And many of the older elven realms have been cast down and destroyed, not unlike Warhammer for the high elves and how they colonize things.

Um, so yeah, it's, uh, they exist now.

Now, for the first time, they were free to determine what their civilizations would become.

For the Elves, that new age began with the loss of Anarion.

The first Phoenix King had united his people during their darkest years.

But the wounds he suffered during the final battle against Chaos proved too great.

For the elves and dwarves alike, the age of recovery was becoming something greater.

It was becoming a golden age.

As the Age of Recovery continued, the Elves and Dwarves moved beyond simply rebuilding what had been lost.

Both peoples began creating civilizations larger and wealthier than anything they had possessed before the coming of Chaos.

Much speculation online has gone into and been conversed around what is really happening with Warhammer: The Old World.

Obviously, in the main storyline right now, um, there is an invasion into the empire from the frozen north, like by the Warriors of Chaos and Frydel and everything that's going on there.

And I think we're also gonna get another conversation with the upcoming Wood Elves versus Tomb Kings book, which in the War for Settra's Fury was about the fight that was happening between Tomb Kings that were invading, uh, into that region, and they were also near where the Wood Elves were, as well as also, um, you know, uh, where Bretonnia was and, like, the renegade ca- renegade crown a- area and the Border Princes.

But then we just teleport over to Cathay for this main story.

All right, let's have a look at what's actually inside the book.

I mean, the big thing for the vampires of Elder Scrolls is that they transform, right? When they get strong enough, they turn into the big spooky version.

Which is relatively unusual for...

Warhammer Fantasy ones, unless you're dealing with a Strigoi most of the time.

That being said, you know what? Interestingly, I would say they kind of make me think a lot.

Someone wanted the Lizardmen or Seraphon from Warhammer Fantasy.

Put them in 40k.

So they basically took all of the Seraphon units and then just matched together Leagues of Otan units.
