more.
7:57
Yeah, my book, I did write a novel, but I need to do a lot of editing.
8:02
You know, that's what I learned by talking to people and going to these groups where you critique each other's stuff.
8:07
But I'm just too busy to do the editing now.
8:10
And that's the harder work.
8:11
I can sit at the keyboard just and write stuff.
8:15
It's the editing that's the most important.
9:29
It's
18:37
Sure.
18:37
But I do have a background, and I kinda go, "Wait a second, that one isn't quite right.
18:42
Let me look at the source." And so then I'll look at the source and go, "It's just not getting this subtly right." I mean, and it happens a lot.
18:49
And so you really gotta go to the sources, you gotta be able to recognize it.
18:53
It, it, obviously if you're a doctor or a lawyer, you have a little advantage over the just general population of, of knowing, "Hey, that doesn't sound quite right.
19:01
I really need to look further into that." And sometimes it does a great job in summarizing and getting you into, to the place you wanna go anyway.
19:08
But the experience matters so much when you're doing that kind of thing.

Ward, maybe?

So Do they just go in and say, that's it, this part's being taken out? Like, what do you mean about the guidance being withdrawn?
1:30
Yeah, so the EEOC has guidance that's official.
1:36
I call it official guidance.
1:38
This is how we're going to approach these cases.
1:40
And so it's posted so that the business community will know what to expect.
1:46
And so the guidance had been, well, If you are of a majority ethnic group or majority sex or, you know, something like that, then you aren't going to.
2:00
We're going to focus on promoting minorities.

11 MINS LATER

Yeah.

13:45
And again, You know, and even in the digital space, would that be considered an independent contractor? Yeah, I
13:52
see what you're saying.
13:53
It's possible that certain types of salespeople could fall under an exemption of AB5.
14:01
So if they fall, AB5 normally says, hey, if you're selling, you're an employee.
14:06
So we're getting on the employee issue again because you're doing work in the usual course of the business.
14:11
Selling is part of the business.
14:13
In fact, you could even say maybe it's the most important part of the business.
