Warcraft III: Reforged

Okay, fine.

Forsaken Kingdom takes place after Warcraft 3 Reforged.

So it's basically, you do a prologue of what's happening in Lordaeron, all that sort of stuff, which is kind of cool.

Stuff happens, and then you get to experience what's happening with the Forsaken.

If you're into World of Warcraft, there you go.

And Warcraft 3 Reforged gets a new campaign.

So they're doing the same thing that CD Projekt Red did.

announced a little while ago, a whole new expansion for Witcher 3.

So he's been having a pretty good time.

And we even managed to peel Sukabrud, aka Peter, out of retirement for a Warcraft 3 reforged review uh with a really fantastic and in-depth video put together by ursula because he's finished all his gamescom previews he's definitely not playing anything that he doesn't need to play he's definitely working on a copy of the game that he's had for a while for a review uh hasn't wasted like 12 15 hours doing other things so he made a video for this um three days ago I love you, Ursel.

I've been waiting all morning to get that joke out.

There might be a video review at some point, but we just don't know anymore.

But yeah.

And Warcraft 3 Reforged, they're redoing Warcraft 3, all new graphics and all that, and adding a new campaign to it.

which I guess that game's old as fuck now.

So I guess it kind of needed that.

Did they do Edge of Mythology? Warcraft.

Or did they do Warcraft Reforged? But they didn't do Warcraft Reforged, but all I'm saying is Blizzard did it, so who knows if they were in tandem with Worlds Edge talking about it, whatever the case is.

Because Worlds Edge has been doing that with their Age of games for a while now, that it would make sense.

That move felt like a very Worlds Edge move, but this announcement also doesn't kind of seem weird for that reason, now that I'm thinking about it.

But the thing I asked about the timeline, so here it is.

The game is positioned after the events of Warcraft 3 Reforged and before the events surrounding Molten Core.

Instead of automatically following the original path towards the Burning Crusade, Blizzard can now explore stories and locations that weren't developed during WoW's original history.

It's pitched as the beginning of the potential alternate evolution of Azeroth, visiting unresolved and untold stories, abandoned concepts, and unfinished locations.

I was like instantly invested and I watched some of the cutscenes and things like prior to last week or whatever it was two weeks ago because I wanted to make sure I remembered it properly but be like if it was actually as cool as I remembered and it was because all of the actual animation in the game like the cutscene animation was outsourced to a Japanese animation company and I forget which one it was I don't think I wrote it down but yeah it's something like Studio Joblay or something um but anyway so like it was just like the art direction of the game is so cool it's just like zombies and like uh necromancers there's a guy called there's a character called the deceiver like it's just like the most what does he do he didn't he actually does not deceive it's a really cool you should play the game it's cool um but I don't know like everything about this game was really great to my little baby mind but each level you would have like a set amount of soldiers essentially so like the first level you start with like I think four archers and like eight like regular like human soldiers and then a dwarf and the dwarves in this game are so violent and they throw satchel charges and they like once again to an eight or nine year old me or whatever the hell was eight year old me um we're like the only games i had was this in age of empires you know like forever forever um like hearing these like it's you know it's M for mature by the way but like you know hearing the dwarf like say these like funny little quips and things like that was just I don't know it was great but it was so violent it was super violent he would throw a satchel charge and things would explode and you could affect the environment in some cases which is really cool I accidentally like would kill pigs and pens sick it's

like learning that you can click on animals in Warcraft 3 until they explode

yes it is if I played that yes it would be the same thing well I actually played it like later in life obviously but um Yeah, but it was the first time I played a video game where I was like, whoa, this is its own world.
