Buckingham sent me a photo of an identikit image of a suspect in the Wanda Beach murders, which was a dual murder of two 14-year-old girls, particularly unpleasant, 1966.

And with accompanying that, he sent a photograph of Ivan Malata, 21.

Now, there is a likeness.

They're still adding victims to his list.

The biggest question mark surrounds one of Australia's most infamous unsolved cases, the Wanda Beach murders.

In January 1965, best friends Marianne Schmidt and Christine Chirac, both just 15 years old, disappeared after spending the day at Wanda Beach near Sydney.

The next day, their bodies are found buried in the sand.

The case became one of the country's biggest investigations, and 60 years later, no one has ever been charged.

On January 12th, 1965, a fella named Peter Smith had taken his three young nephews for a walk on Wanda Beach in Cronulla, a suburb of Sydney, Australia.

The four of them were walking through the hills and got over the dunes.

It is also unknown whether Percy had a car or even a driver's license at the time.

Interestingly, Derek Ernest Percy was also a suspect in the Wanda Beach murders, which we talked about last month.

Also worth noting, if we are believing the Adelaide Oval and the Beaumont disappearances are connected, Percy was in prison in 1969, so that would've made it impossible for him to be involved in whatever happened to Joanne Ratcliffe and Kirste Gordon.

So though there were, on the surface, many credible suspects, the truth would still be unknown.
