And so Disney history is really my passion.

I, I absolutely love everything about Walt Disney and the creatives that worked for him at the Walt Disney Studio, so.

That's great.

So we are, we are mostly a Disneyland podcast, so we like to ask people when you go to Disneyland, or maybe if it's not your home park, a- another Disney park, on the first day of your visit, do you like to go a specific way? Do you go towards Adventureland or Fantasyland, Tomorrowland? Is there something that's a, a must do for you?

It's a nonprofit.

It, it's officially an academic institution, or organization, rather.

And so it includes writers, researchers, some current employees of the Walt Disney Studios, former employees, sometimes legacy m- members, for example, children of famed animators.

Oh.

You turn the corner from Hollywood Boulevard at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

go through what used to be the arch now this kind of this this gated entrance that looks very similar having just been there a couple of times actually in the last year looks very similar to the actual Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank California and very reminiscent of that space and walk through there and then go into Magic of Disney Animation so I'm going to leave this very open-ended and just see what your first impressions were as you walked through the courtyard into the animation building

Sure, yeah, so this was my first time seeing the courtyard.

I hadn't been since September of last year.

It's called Created in LA, and it kicked off yesterday at Hollywood's El Capitan Theater.

The celebration included a big screen premiere of the Technoblade movie, an original tribute video by the creato duo The event continues today at the Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank.

Disney is the parent company of ABC 7.

So Waking Sleeping Beauty is a documentary about the animation at Walt Disney Studios between 1984 and 1994, which is essentially what we're going to be talking about tonight.

And that'd be the winding down of.

Yeah, and like I said, the near death of the entire animation department at Walt Disney.

That's definitely exactly what happened.

Yeah.

A couple of years ago, I got to tour the Walt Disney Studios.

And one of the things they point out on the tour is the recording studio.
