Already dealing with wind gusts surpassing 25, even 30 miles per hour up and down the east coast of the U.S. Let's take a look at some of the numbers right now.

Wallops Island coming in right at the center of your screen at 40 miles per hour.

And the storm hasn't even really developed just yet.

NASA wants to make a Wallops Island commercial.

Where is Wallops Island and what is the ambition?

All right.

So NASA has two launch pads that it controls.

One is at Kennedy Space Center on Cape Canaveral, right next to the Air Force launch facility.

The other one is Wallops Island, which is on the eastern shore of the Atlantic in Virginia.

And it was originally used in the 50s, 60s and 70s by NASA under the Guided Space Flight Center to do suborbital engineering tests.

Wallops Island, which is in the Virginia colony, REACH, and was used in the 50s and 60s for testing, a testing range, is now to be turned into a space board, if I heard Bob correctly.

Wallops Island in Virginia, and more commercial launch pads coming online over the next few years.

Each of those sites has associated launch corridors, restricted airspace ocean overlays, downrange hazard areas that can extend hundreds of miles.
