Walking with Cavemen

But to me, the design choices place it firmly in that Jesus Christ, what were they thinking with this part of the uncanny valley, which is ironic for a kid's show, where you think they'd be aiming for something cute and lovable.

I actually thought it was pretty good makeup and design, but then again, my only baseline to compare it to was Walking with Cavemen, which I got through the first segment of that with prosthetic cavemen face makeup and whatnot, and I just could not do any more.

So [laughs] it was better than that to me.

I don't know.

The makeup in Walking with Cavemen isn't great either, but apart from the Homo habilis, I don't feel any of them stray into the same sort of nightmare feel territory as Stig.

It's the head that's the biggest turn-off for me.

It's vaguely human, but has way too many chimpanzee-like features to not be unsettling.

It's not essential viewing, is it?
