What happens is in 1948, Israel confiscates the building and fast forward to 2008, they actually destroy most of it in order to turn it

into a new luxury hotel, the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, which is part of the Hilton hotel chains.

And so the

same Israeli contractor who was tasked with demolishing the building was actually also keeping some of the objects that he would find in that building.

And there's a Hilton in Tagazoot Bay Beach for 50,000 points per night.

There's also a Conrad and Rabat for 70,000 and a Waldorf Astoria coming soon.

For IHG, there's an IberoStar all-inclusive for 90,000 points per night.

That includes two adults, and this is in an area south of Marrakesh along the coast.

I was like, do I say names? But no, I will.

I mean, it's not in a bad way, but I can see the business, how well the Peninsula Hotel does versus you've got the Beverly Wilshire, which is Four Seasons versus the Waldorf Astoria, which is the Beverly Hills, which is stunning property.

Um, and then you've got the Beverly Hills hotel.

So you've got the Beverly Hills hotel and there are others that I'm not including, but the Beverly Hills hotel and the peninsula, like they've been around for a while.

Today we're in Cabo talking about the Parkite and the Waldorf Astoria.

Yes.

So every year, Duane and I try to do just an annual kid-free getaway.

A successful real estate tycoon, he left a lasting legacy.

The famed Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan was named after him, as well as his hometown of Waldorf, Germany.

But a rumor has circulated for more than a century that some of the money that helped him morph into an American icon was none other than Captain Kidd's.

In 1801, Astor's Manhattan bank account supposedly shot up to half a million dollars from just $4,000 after striking a deal with a French fur trader who supposedly came upon Kidd's pirate chest while trapping.

What's funny about that intersection is Beverly Hilton.

And they somehow squeezed in a Waldorf Astoria a few years back.

Where's that now? Right there next to the Beverly Hilton.

It's the Waldorf Astoria right next to the Beverly Hilton.
