Walderslade

This story

basically started quite a few months ago when some plans came forward through the Home Office, well, actually via an outsourcing company, to house asylum seekers in Walderslade, which is de facto a suburb of Chatham, but it's officially in the borough of Tunbridge and Morlick, hence it came to my attention.

One of those properties earlier this year was deemed unsuitable for that use, but one of them has in fact been put to use in that fashion, much to the chagrin of residents who have been quite unhappy, essentially, that the Home Office has moved asylum seekers into their area.

And councillors are pretty vexed too.
