These are essentially feuding enemies, like the Easterlings.

These are people who came and attacked and joined with the necromancer, who fought with many of Rohan and Gondor.

Musicians want tunes and musical notation, archaeologists want ceramics and metallurgy, botanists want a more accurate description of the Malorn or Eleanor, Nifredel, Alferin, Malos, and Symbolmina, and historians want more details about the social and political structure of Gondor.

General inquirers want information about the Wainriders, the Harad, Dwarvish origins, the Dead Men, the Beornings, and the missing two wizards out of five.

It will be a big volume, even if I attend only to the things revealed, to my limited understanding.

So yes, people have been wanting to know about the land of Harad since the very beginning.

In that war, the last descendants of Castamere perished, and Umbar was again held for a while by the kings.

Telumetar added to his name the title Umbardakil, but in the new evils that soon befell Gondor, Umbar was again lost and fell into the hands of the men of the Harad.

One of those evils was something we talked about briefly in episode 10 of this show, what took Aragorn so long to become king, and then again a little bit in our episode on the Northmen, and that was the long war with the Wainriders of the East.

These were Easterlings that brought war to Gondor, but usually they went through the lands of Rhovanion.
