Wailua River

And, um, we did a six and a half hour kind of discover Kauai tour there, um, that had, like, 10 different stops.

We went to the Wailua River and did a, a r- family-owned riverboat up the, the river to a fern grotto.

Uh, then we got back in the, the bus.

Oh, by the way, this one where you, you know, you're gathering in the theater, and they call out tour number eight, and, like, 140 people stand up, and you're like, "Oh, God." [laughs]What did we get here? But then you get out to the, the, the dispatch area, and it's all 14-passenger vans, and there are only t- 12 people or less on each.

I do know this, that the cleanup on the roads do continue.

We're told that today crews resume the clearing of debris under the Mauka side of the Wailua River Bridge, and that'll continue throughout the week.

And that's something that Mayor Derek Kawakami has really commended residents on this entire time, getting themselves ready And that approach is serving them well because, again, I'm sure you can hear these very strong winds right now.

And we are about an hour and a half before when midnight struck, the brunt of the storm, right? And so after we were in Princeville, we made our way to Wailua River.

And that has been an area of concern.

We saw some overflow in that river as well.
