Wagashi

The tea will be held in the roulei style, meaning that guests will be seated in chairs instead of kneeling.

Guests will be served freshly poured matcha and wagashi, a traditional Japanese sweet.

The event will include a brief tour of Japan House that includes information about its history on the Illinois campus, as well as details about the tea ceremony.

Hosts will be dressed in kimonos.
