Rob, just another one on your coaching career.

You've experienced AFL, Waffle, Waffle W.

Now, did you always want to have an involvement in the game after your playing days? Was coaching something you thought about straight after you were playing?

Yeah, I think, you know, some players will say once they finish playing, I'm sort of moving on.

um and it's been an amazing journey and as i said i still at the age of 71 i have some involvement and that's um you know i don't think you know i could have wished for any more and that's what you know as i said 50 years of footy with the opportunities that it provided me so and to experience women's football you know i had three sisters and three daughters so i probably ended up in the place where uh where i started regan so uh i've been very lucky and And it's been able to experience many different opportunities along the way.

Yeah, absolutely.

And I suppose you've seen the game grow in all facets over time, whether that may be in the women's competition, AFL, and even Waffle as well.

You know, we're getting these rule changes every year.

He's playing a grand final, so to me he's fit.

Yeah, be interesting to see how, uh, Brennan Cox goes in the grand final, how the Waffle supporters feel about that with Brennan Cox rolling back there as well, and if he's on full minutes or managed minutes in the grand final there too.

He doesn't play if they lose, right?

Well, he still can technically.

But they wouldn't do that, would they? That would be unfair.

To the Waffle competition.

And that would cause more problems amongst the Waffle-

I would think so

It's a great club.

If there was ever a time to say the Waffle, it would be now because they've knocked us off the last two times in state games.

uh to norwood and i was just chatting to chat about you before when we're off air a lot of people don't know your backstory you're a victorian boy from shepparton and chatty asked did you ever make the draft but i think you've been overlooked every time haven't you or weren't you

And, look, you've probably seen some great players.

come through Bunbury that have gone and played in the Waffle and maybe the AFL.

At the moment, you've got Aidan Clark there and Harry Creasy.

They're both great players, but they're Bunbury locals, aren't they? I mean, they grew up with you through the club, didn't they?

Do we know who that

was? Mick V was training with the Waffle team.

Yep.

And there was three other players, Wagner, O'Meara, and another who were left out to train as part of a potential in, I mean, in.

Brockman, Owies, Flynn and Schoenberg.

It has been pleasing to see the performance of the Waffle Eagles this year but it has come at the cost of the senior side.

Has it come to the cost of the senior side? Or are you just saying that while that improved, the senior side didn't? I mean, we did improve.

I don't think that's deniable.

I get the sense that he wanted to stay, like he wants to come to Western Australia and I think he wanted to stay to see if he can win a flag with this group.

But the hopes of that might be in tatters at the moment, particularly if other punishments keep getting handed out.

Mitch, after watching his performances at Waffle level, a league level, Heath Melody has jumped to my favorite prospect in this year's draft.

Also with Arthur Jones not yet signing, it looks like we have a good chance to be in the race for him.
