Uh, so I just wanna hear you talk about that because this is, again, like, in that tradition, a really fun, solid, uh, VO cast.

Yeah, this is Wadjet Games.

I actually have it.

I bought it at some point.

It's a, it's a gorgeous-looking game.

Uh, the, the storyline, um, curiously enough, has a little bit in common with another Wadjet Eye game.

There's a bit of a, uh, what I'd call a Blackwell twist to the story, uh, in this one that is, uh, fun and unexpected in a Vampire: The Masquerade game.

So, uh, yeah, it's, it's not bad.

The point being that, um, sometimes with these kind of, um, smut filters and this kind of accusation of pornography, sometimes that is just a, a, a way of shutting down these kind of differences and the things that exist in people's lives.

So I guess the, the, the question is i- is the commitment to having real life still there at Wadjet Eye Games and still there in the stuff that you want to write, Richard?

Um, what I wanna say ...

Yeah.

The, the, the important thing for me is like is isn't that it's, uh, necessarily in keeping with the, like the user interface of previous Wadjet Eye games.

It's that it has the same kind of heart.

The game is written by a guy called Richard Cobbett, who used to be a games journo from back in the day and moved into making narrative games.

And it's also being published by Wadjet Eye Games, a publisher who are known for consistently putting out excellent point and click adventure games.

Ed played a few hours of this one a while back and gave it his thumbs up and I should really go back to that nod.

Also worth mentioning is that Steam slapped this game with its adult content tag this week, which caused a bit of a crisis for the developers as that basically made the game invisible from search and delisted it in several countries over what was basically nothing.

We've had a few stories now about, uh, the, the highly opaque, uh, pro- process over at Steam around games that, that have adult content.

But this week it, it touched on a upcoming release from Wadjet Eye, uh, a vampire, uh, visual novel, uh, uh, RPG f- uh, called Nighthawks, uh, that has been in development for ages.

Like, I feel like I was hearing about this game a long, long time ago.

Richard Cobbett, a long time, uh, PC Gamer contributor, adventure game, uh, uh, like, uh, adventure game critic, uh, is contributing to the project.

Um, you know, people don't get too outspoken, but this was the thing.

They, they were sort of tongue in cheek about it, uh, saying that...

Uh, Da- Dave Gilbert over at, at Wadjet Eye, uh, said when this was going on, "We are aware that Steam has classified Nighthawks as an adult game and has excluded it from searches and de-listed it entirely in certain countries.

thought about Unavowed, yeah.

I remember playing this game in 2018 and being so thrilled and wowed by the storytelling.
